POINTS FOR THE WASTE / COLLECTION

ECO PATROL

Ecological Center in the association works for several years. In front of the building of the Association at Studentski trg 18 street, you can put the secondary raw material and paper, plastic and metal packaging. Additional points for waste disposal for the PET we have in front of the Faculty of Chemistry and Mathematics. Also, if you have larger quantities of secondary raw materials, you can give them to the users of our association, and our eco-patrol will pick up them. Contribution of at least one of the bottles, cans, or old magazines, you'll help the work of our Association, and the growth of our healthy ecological environment.

Total abstraction is an imagination of organisms  outside of their natural habitat. Organism and its environment are in close, constant interaction and change each other constantly ... sometimes these changes are favorable for both sides, and sometimes negative. Generally, there are influences and therefore can be said that the "type of relationship" – neutralism is theoretically. Individuals operate one on the other in its kind, on the individuals of other kind, as well as on their environment. Environment acting on the individuals of all types in it. That is how the interrelations are establish. These can be very complex, very different, a less simple .... but they are allways: specific - unique for each type of organism, permanent take-continuous, mutual and unbreakable - the organism can not exist without its environment, and do not forget - variable (in all coordinates)!

Three inter-related factors determine and influence the existence of life on our planet - energy, matter and gravity. And energy and matter flows and circle and only the more energy flows, a substance more circle! We can not strictly define something as "open" or "closed" system. In relation to the flow of energy, the Earth is an open system. It receives energy from the sun, and without the energy, life such as it is now, would not existed, because the temperature would be about - 240 ° C! In relation to the substances’ circling, the Earth is closed system, because all nutritions that are necessary for the existence of life must be constantly recycled, because of the amount of substance which is (almost) invariably. Gravity keeps the atmosphere and provides all the processing cycles on the planet.

During the study of phenomena and a change in the nature, interdisciplinary approach is required. This approach is represented in the research of Ecology, that should be evaluated as the essential science.

ACTIVITIES

Environmental protection means first of all - knowledge of the environmental quality, then the adoption of various regulations and measures to establish the legal obligations, and at the end the application of methods of protection necessary for prevention, rehabilitation and prevention of further endangering and pollution as well as establishing and improving the quality of the environment.

22. May 2009. International Day of Biodiversity

Association for the Support of Developmentally Disabled Individuals Stari grad supported The International Day of biological diversity, 22 May 2009 with its  presence at The Institute for the study of cultural development. There must be pay an attention to environment protection in Serbia and our association is, through the Ecological center ready to continue with active participation in improving the quality of our environment and encourage all citizens to join us.

EARTH DAY – LIVE TOGETHER

This year on stage at the Republic Square in the capital city large number of students, users, artists, poets has activated... and we all enjoyed. Minister Dulić visited us and turned more attention to the importance of environmental action, and the rights and needs of the population of developmentally disabled people. In addition to cultural and artistic program that Cultural-artistis Society "Jedinstvo" were prepared , Society for help MNRL New Belgrade, Guardian angels from Valjevo, protégés (users) at the special home Sremčica, "Srce" from Jabuka, Bojan Škrabar, models, actors, Minja Subota and many pop artists such as OK bend, bend MEGA MIX, Beat Street, Aleksa Jelić, Knez, Željko Vasić, Darko Radovanović and Ivana Selakov. JEVREMOVA – THE STREET OF MEETING (12 April 2009)

Sunday 12th April in the Jevremova street in the Municipality of Stari grad it was helded the final event of the programme "Jevremova – the street of meeting", which marked the local municipalities celebration. In addition to the other participants in the Jevremova street there have been our users of the association who have promoted the environmental values and together with citizens used different types devices for recycling. In the recycling are joined and the president of organization "Prijatelji dece" and president of the Municipality of Stari grad Mirjana Božidarević. Everyday activities in the Ecological Center

Everyday activities in the Ecological Center with customers develops and implements in the field of ecology are diverse and targeted to responsible behavior and preserving the environment, and the participation of all members of the local community in its realization. Highlights of the activities.

-collection of secondary raw materials - in our points for collection of secondary raw materials, scrap paper, metal and plastic packaging store and our customers, but, above all, a number of neighbors and citizens. In this way they solve the problem of throwing of its own raw materials, and support the work of associations. Users and members of their families and small communities now have built the habit of collecting the raw materials that delivers the association and of which have part of their monthly income. Now the institutions are calling as, also companies and citizens who have large amounts of waste paper. -primary processing of raw materials - in the association we have several hand presses for plastic, one manual press cans. To reduce a space that these materials take up and   partially to solved the problem of agglomeration, our users made the primary processing. After pressing, measurement and storage, raw materials are ready to upload. Also, we got great press materials from good donors and for its work we need Three-phase current, but do not have connection in our building. -education – in order to be "in progress" and follow modern aspirations and achievements in the field of ecology, happy to visit web sites, organizations and seminars that deal with this topic. The last seminar in which our representative Jelena Brankovic participated - mother of our users Nevana, held at the end of November 2008 at Subotica. The topic of seminar called "compost in the school yard." The seminar was organized by Friends of children organization of Municipality of Stari grad, Compost team and the Council for Environmental Stari grad.
Also, permanent, with practical examples and constant action, we are training our users. One user group in the most hardworking in  eco-activities, we took into the visit at public community “Gradska čistoća” (City purity), where they could learn about the stages of recycling waste paper.

-cooperation - dealing with recycling, we contacted a number of organizations, as ReCan, Brzanplast and others ..., that we achieved a good cooperation. Great support we provide, and provides the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, and we are proud of the letter that we received from the former minister of this Ministry, Sasa Dragin .

He visited our association, and participated in the event we organized in 2008.

-actions – we are happy to accept the organizations and participations in actions and events led by  promotion of the idea of preserving a healthy environment.

Since 2001 it has become a tradition to 22 April - the Earth day in Belgrade organized a big festivity in which the participating friends and guests from all cities in Serbia. The program consists of three parts: 1) musical-theater program at the Republic Square that presents knowledge and skills of related associations, institutions, pupils and kindergartens with their track, well-known pop artists, poets, foreigners, acrobats, students and all who wish to join the celebration and show what know , 2) sales exhibition in Knez Mihailova street, the number of manufacture and trade organizations participating , producers of ecological products, a small workshops in the associations and organizations and others; 3) sports activities in the Kalemegdan – Old Town, with the support of Aero Club and other donors, which for all guests providing a competition in the throwing paper airplanes, visit the zoo garden, panoramic boat ride and other interesting facts that keeps together the three basic elements - earth, water and air ...
One of the interesting activities in which we participated is the action under the name "Cleaning  coasts" in Serbia, organized by U.S. Embassy. Then we joined and helped in cleaning the banks of the Danube river in the Lower city of Kula Nebojša, where we like to go for a walk and to be clean.
